The construction of WALDSCHMYD roller belt buckles is clearly recognizable by the high precision of the CNC-milled sideblade elements and the turned roller and spacer elements.

The path from watchmaking to the manufacture of belt buckles is unusual.
I completely redefined the way of looking at a belt buckle with my eyes as a watchmaker. I missed the passion for details in the search for a belt, as I knew it from watchmaking. To me, a belt buckle should have the same aesthetic as a wristwatch. It should be made of a high quality and functional material to best serve a long lasting function and representation of its wearer. The mechanics should be accurate and sophisticated, just like a chronometer.
By meeting these requirements, we have worked to restore belt buckles to their importance as a piece of jewelry with character and fascination with mechanics and mysticism.
The result of my development and their further way they can see here and follow in the future.

A good belt is the interaction of belt and buckle.
For the production of a belt strap, many details of length and width dimensions must be matched to the buckle.
The definition of the correct belt length, i.e. the correct belt size, is only possible with a correct measurement of the circumference.
When measuring on an old belt, take into account the determination of the mandrel hole actually used to determine the circumference. If this measurement is done correctly, you will get a belt that fits exactly as it should.
The modular design of our buckles additionally allows to mount a traditionally sewn belt without destroying the old belt. This allows a longer or shorter, or simply a new belt to be connected to the buckle by disassembly.
In the development of our buckle, we were fundamentally concerned to create a product that can be used again and again with a new strap. Because quality is basically always sustainable.
For the production of our leather belts we could win the leather manufactory KREIS from Obertshausen.
For this cooperation and support we are very grateful. With the manufactory KREIS we can offer complete belts according to your wishes. It is one of the few craftsmen who have made a name for themselves for the production of good leather belts. In order to realize further unusual customer wishes, we naturally also hand over the production of special individual designs to other leather manufacturers. Thus, every WALDSCHMYD belt buckle always finds the right strap for your wearer.
